Our best selling white wine in the store. Perfect for summer enjoyment. Fresh pear and melon scents with crisp white fruit flavors that show a bit of Sancerre-like minerality.

Jean d’Aosque ‘06 Sauvignon Blanc
$7.99 btl / $91.09 cs
This is an incredible value from France. While prices soar, this budget minded Sauvignon Blanc is perfectly delicious with classic whiffs of fresh cut grass and zesty lemon leading to a dry, clean mouth of citrus fruit and minerals. Excellent!

Paul Etienne ‘05 Macon Villages

This wine trounced its competition costing nearly double the price! Delicious, crisp citrus and melon flavors with a hint of spice. This is a terrific match for grilled salmon or grilled halibut.

Hugues Beaulieu ‘07 Picpoul de Pinet

Fresh and fine aromas of grapefruit and exotic fruit. Lime flavors, with typical focusing acidity, are hallmarks of Picpoul. This lively and fun white is a steal for under $10.

Ch. Lagarosse ‘05 Premieres, Cotes de Bordeaux
$14.99 btl / $170.89 cs
My first exclamation was, "wow." A dense dark crucible of black fruit, spice, mineral and smooth tannins, fused together to form this delicious wine. This is a rich, refined Bordeaux with exquisite balance. A real find at under $15.

Ch. Vrai Canon Bouché ‘03Canon Fronsac
$15.99 btl / $182.29 cs
I love this Bordeaux – it’s rich, complex with ripe fruit and it’s a world class bargain! Robert Parker raves about this wine, which he says retails at $20, well above our featured price. His tasting notes were written in 2004 and the wine has come a long way in 4 years! It’s more complex and rich. "This noble effort, displaying terrific purity, power, and richness, provides further evidence that Canon-Fronsac’s cool terroirs were beneficial in the torridly hot, dry summer of 2003. An inky/ruby/purple color accompanies aromas of violets, blueberries, and crushed stones. Powerful, rich, and generous, this sleeper of the vintage should be at its finest between 2006-2014." 90 points.

Ch. Tronquoy-Lalande ‘03 St-Estephe
$15.99 btl / $182.29 cs
"This is the same richly textured wine we offered two years ago at $21.99, now at $15.99! It tastes even better! & it still will enjoy another 3-5 years of aging. Two years ago I said "We all loved the 2000 of this top rank Cru Bourgeois Superieur – the 2003 is even better! Made from 45% Cabernet, 45% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot, this wine is lush in texture, displaying crème de cassis, blackberry and chocolate. This wine should age well for another 5 years. Hey, where’s my steak?" Today, my notes would add a bit of blueberry fruit and a hint of mint – otherwise unchanged. This will go quickly as there’s nothing like it in this price category." Reg: $22 – Save $6

Alter Ego of Chateau Palmer, ‘04 Margaux
$35.99 btl / $410.28 cs
Ever wanted to taste a classic Bordeaux? Now you can try Margaux’s renowned Chateau Palmer at a fraction of its lofty price! This is Palmer’s second wine, made exactly from the same fruit, in the same cellar, aged in the same oak (less new). It’s the graceful result of a rigorous selection from a terrific 94 point vintage. A classic Cabernet-dominated Bordeaux with the ethereal nose of violets and rose petals typical of fine Margaux. Expect an elegant wine which will age well instead of a viscous blockbuster. Robert Parker writes, "This brilliant effort boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as abundant amounts of black currant, chocolate, licorice, and espresso characteristics. Lush, heady, and ripe, it will provide lovely drinking over the next decade."

Domaine Lafage ‘05 Cote Sud
$10.99 btl / $125.29 cs
"Among his reds, Lafage has scored a mind-boggling value with his Syrah-based (10% each Grenache and Cabernet) 2005 Cote Sud. Intense aromas of plum paste, cherry, iodine and herbs lead into a richly-fruited, deeply mineral, dynamic palate with layering and interplay of black chocolate, lavender, licorice, cherry preserves, singed meat, salts and iodine. A wine this rich and complex and with a finish this long takes on an aura of unreality when one sees the price!" 90 pts - Parker!

Pierre Ponnelle ‘06 VdP d’Oc Pinot Noir
$10.99 btl / $125.29 cs
What a terrific value in Pinot Noir! This tasty, well-made wine is one of the best values on our floor and it is my inexpensive "go-to" Pinot Noir. On nose, the wine boasts hints of strawberry, spices and tobacco. This wine has lovely, deep clean strawberry/cherry fruit with a long finish to a slightly dry anise note.

Domaine "La Garrigue" ‘06 Cotes-du-Rhone Cuvée Romaine $13.99 btl / $159.49 cs
This pristine estate in Vacqueyras manually harvests their grapes and does not fine or filter their wines. The Cuvée Romaine is actually de-classified Vacqueyras, consisting of roughly 50% each Grenache and Syrah. It’s a super-rich, tongue-coating Cotes-du-Rhone with spicy, floral aromas and flavors of cassis, cherry, pepper, vanilla and toast. Delicious!
