A by Acacia ‘07 Red Blend, California
$6.99 btl / $79.69 cs - save $7
This Syrah based Rhone-style blend is
well-balanced and layered with aromas of rich dark cherry, plum and
raspberry. Deep fruit flavors of cherry and ripe plum are framed by
velvety tannins. Grenache adds a hint of soft, bright red
raspberries and Mourvedre infuses the blend with spice and a bit of
mocha. A splash of Viognier lifts the aromas and completes this
richly textured blend.
Lot 205 ‘07 Petite Sirah
$8.99 btl / $102.49 cs
"The wine’s deep garnet color is matched by rich and inviting aromas
of cranberry, cherry pie, and fresh stone fruits, along with touches
of toasty oak, spice cake and leather. The wine is generous on the
palate, with integrated tannins, and lots of the juicy, grapey fruit
character typical of Petite Sirah." - Winemaker notes. Reg: $11
Laurel Glen ‘08 REDS, Lodi
$8.99 btl / $102.49 cs - save $3
An impressive blend of Zinfandel (40 –
80 years old) Carignane (118 years) and Petite Syrah (20 years).
It’s dark, spicy, and powerful but it’s equally fresh and delicious,
with enough natural acidity to invite another glass. This is not a
ponderous monster, but rather a large-scaled and graceful wine that
matches beautifully with full flavored foods! Reg: $12

One of our favorite Chardonnays! We
agree with Robert Parker when he says: "It reveals plenty of
brioche, poached pear, honeysuckle, and smoky hazelnut notes, a
leesy, waxy complexity, a light gold color, and a rich, medium to
full-bodied personality." Reg: $20
Darioush ‘07 Caravan Cabernet

"A terrific bargain in Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15%
Merlot, and the rest equal parts Petit Verdot and Malbec offers a
subtle toasty oak note intermixed with espresso roast, chocolate,
black currants, and black cherries. It possesses soft, velvety
tannins, medium to full body, and beautiful purity, texture, and
length. Approachable now, it should evolve easily for 15 or more
years. This is a sleeper of the vintage." 90 points Parker.
